We've been chosen from over 7,000 applications to be one of the charities to benefit from the Co-op's amazing Local Community Fund, which will see £5m donated to local causes in the UK over the next year.

What is the Co-op Local Community Fund?
Every year the Co-op chooses charities to benefit from their Local Community Fund. This year (Oct 2024 - Oct 2025), the fund is a massive £5m, which will be donated to charities up and down the UK.
How does it work?
Mayfield Association of Parents & Staff (the PTA) are one of three local causes, but Co-op members from anywhere in the UK can choose and support us.
The more supporters we have by the end of the funding period (in October 2025), the greater share of the fund we'll receive. So please rally Mayfield alumni, local residents, and friends and family wherever they live in the UK to help us raise as much as we can for our school. What are we raising money for?
We're raising money to enhance our outdoor learning environment, boosting our conservation area and creating a Forest School area. Visit our cause page to find out more.
I'm a member of the Co-op, what do I do?
You can either log into your account, go to the "Choose a local cause" tab and click on our cause, or visit membership.coop.co.uk/causes/91504 and choose our cause - simple!
Keep us as your chosen cause until the end of October 2025 when the final count of supporters happens. Remember, the more supporters we have at the end of the campaign, the more money we'll receive.
What if I'm not a member of the Co-op?
It's simple to become a Co-op member and it comes with a range of benefits - you get money off certain items with their "Member Price" offering, plus discount vouchers on things you buy regularly. You also get to choose a local community to support (which is what we're part of).

When will the school see the benefit?
The PTA can receive an initial start-up payment of £500 in Spring if we're ready for it. If not we will receive the full fund towards the end of 2025. Plenty of time for us to get planning our improved Forest School environment!
How can I help promote it?
Please (please, please!) share our cause page with as many people as possible - the more supporters we have the more money we'll raise. Any Co-op member can choose us as a cause, just send them our link and they can support us.
